Server - Part-time

Description

The primary purpose of the server position is to inform the residents of the menu selections for the day and professionally present and serve resident meals with a high level of customer service and to their satisfaction. This position also requires staff to ensure the dining room is clean and welcoming as may be directed by supervisor.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Greets and informs residents of available menu selections.
• Report pertinent resident information to the immediate supervisor and respond positively to resident inquiries or requests
• Position requires daily social interaction with memory care residents, ability, to conduct specialized programming as well 
• Cleans tables at the end of meal and sets the tables for next meal seating
• Vacuums carpet in dining room after each meal
• Work cooperatively within the department as well as with other departments

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in dining service desired.  Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations helpful
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
