MTSI is currently seeking to hire SharePoint Developer to join the team.

This role is 100% remote; US Citizenship required.

Role Overview
Seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to design, develop, and optimize SharePoint Online solutions in Microsoft 365 GCC High. The ideal candidate excels at creating modern, user-friendly intranet experiences, leveraging metadata-driven information architecture for search and AI optimization. This role focuses on improving discoverability, productivity, and enterprise collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Development & Customization
  • Design, develop, and maintain modern SharePoint Online sites, pages, templates, web parts, and UI components with a focus on high-quality intranet user experiences.
  • Build custom solutions using SPFx or Add‑in models designed for GCC High environments, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and secure code.
  • Create consistent, responsive, visually engaging intranet interfaces using modern design standards, JSON formatting, and component-based design patterns.
  • Develop user-centric components that support personalization, audience targeting, dynamic content delivery, and optimized user journeys.
  • Collaborate closely with the dedicated SharePoint Administrator to ensure solutions integrate seamlessly into governed environments
  • Partner with content owners and business stakeholders to transform requirements into intuitive, development-led SharePoint experiences that enhance discoverability and productivity.
 
Intranet UX, Navigation & Content Experience
  • Improve content discoverability through well-structured hubs, navigation, and content organization.
  • Partner with communications, HR, and business stakeholders to deliver user‑focused intranet experiences.
  • Ensure accessibility, brand consistency, readability, and adherence to enterprise UX standards.
  • Promote best practices for content authors, including metadata tagging, image optimization, and content lifecycle governance.

SharePoint Information Architecture
  • Support administration of SharePoint Online (GCC High), including site collections, permissions, governance, and provisioning.
  • Create and maintain metadata schemas, content types, taxonomy, and metadata structures to enhance search and AI capabilities.
  • Ensure alignment with information lifecycle management, retention requirements, and compliance controls.
  • Monitor search health, indexing, platform performance, and storage.
 
Power Platform Development
  • Design and implement Power Apps and Power Automate workflows integrated with governed SharePoint data.
  • Build applications leveraging strong data modeling, structured metadata, and secure access controls.
  • Enhance intranet functionality through automation and interactive user experiences.
  • Support Power BI dashboards using structured SharePoint data models.

Search Optimization & Knowledge Discovery
  • Optimize Microsoft Search settings including managed properties, synonyms, verticals, and refiners.
  • Ensure content is structured for enterprise-wide knowledge discovery and AI insights.
  • Improve search ranking through metadata-driven information architecture and content tuning.

Collaboration, Governance & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide training, documentation, and guidance for intranet usage and content governance.
  • Contribute to governance frameworks, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Lead innovation to elevate intranet experience, automation, and content strategy.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 years of SharePoint Online experience (development, customization, administration).
  • Expertise in SharePoint and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) in Microsoft 365 GCC High.
  • Strong skills in UX, navigation, branding, content structure, and user adoption.
  • Demonstrated experience in metadata management, taxonomy, and information architecture.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and user-focused design skills.
  • Knowledge of data and knowledge management principles, records management, and M365 governance.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in federal or highly regulated environments.
  • Skills in global navigation, hub sites, and intranet landing pages.
  • Microsoft Search tuning and schema management.
  • Power BI data modeling and dashboard support.
  • CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
  • Microsoft certifications (M365, Power Platform, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust and federal IT compliance standards.
  • Experience developing governance frameworks and UX guidelines.

Clearance & Citizenship
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
