About the Department
Snow College is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Admissions Counselor/Recruiter to advance strategic enrollment growth across central Utah. This position is responsible for developing and managing a robust recruitment pipeline, cultivating key partnerships, and driving prospective students from initial interest through application, admission, and enrollment.
The Admissions Counselor/Recruiter serves as a primary representative of Snow College and plays a critical role in expanding market presence, increasing yield, and ensuring students successfully transition to enrollment. The ideal candidate is energetic, relationship-oriented, data-informed, and committed to improving access to higher education through proactive outreach and personalized engagement.
This position is based on the Ephraim, Utah campus and requires frequent travel throughout central Utah.
Position Duties
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, counseling, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in meeting goals, managing a pipeline, or driving measurable outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and persuasion abilities.
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse populations and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within assigned territories and work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Experience with CRM systems and familiarity with enrollment management practices in higher education preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Strategic Recruitment & Territory Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory recruitment plan for Juab, Sanpete, Millard, Sevier, Beaver, Piute, and Wayne counties, focused on generating applications and increasing enrollment yield.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with high schools, counselors, community organizations, and influencers to create consistent enrollment pipelines.
- Proactively identify, cultivate, and convert prospective students through targeted outreach, follow-up, and engagement strategies.
- Represent Snow College at college fairs, high school visits, community events, and on-campus programs with a focus on lead generation and conversion.
- Deliver compelling presentations and workshops that effectively communicate the value of a Snow College education and motivate students to apply and enroll.
- Provide personalized, high-touch counseling to prospective students and families to move them from inquiry to applicant to enrolled student.
- Actively manage and follow up with prospective students to ensure timely application completion, document submission, and progression through the admissions funnel.
- Remove barriers to enrollment by guiding students through decision-making, financial considerations, academic planning, and next steps.
- Maintain consistent communication strategies (calls, texts, emails, in-person) to increase application completion and enrollment yield.
- Own and manage a defined recruitment funnel, tracking prospects from inquiry through enrollment using the College’s CRM system.
- Establish, monitor, and achieve territory-specific enrollment goals in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Admissions – Recruitment.
- Use data and performance metrics to evaluate recruitment effectiveness, adjust strategies, and improve outcomes.
- Maintain accountability for key performance indicators, including inquiries, applications, admits, and enrollments.
- Plan and execute impactful campus visit experiences, group tours, and recruitment events designed to increase student interest and commitment.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student services to create a seamless and supportive transition from applicant to enrolled student.
- Engage families and community partners as part of the recruitment and enrollment process.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of all recruitment activities and student interactions within the CRM.
- Analyze recruitment and enrollment data to inform strategy and provide regular performance reports.
- Stay current on enrollment trends, competitor activity, and best practices in student recruitment and yield strategies.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Snow College programs, pathways, and student support services to effectively position the institution to prospective students.
