Position Summary:

The Slot Service Ambassador is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service to our internal and external guests while working the slot floor, which includes hand pays, minor machine repairs, currency and coin exchange and players rewards program signups. Responsibilities also include properly implementing all Title 31 procedures and safeguarding Company assets. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will directly report to the Slot Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Comply with all signatory controls, including jackpot/fill tickets, check in/out sheets verification, transfer or buy sheets verification, Title 31 paperwork, paid in/out slips, key control logs, radio sign out logs and daily sign in sheets.
  • Responsible for counting down, checking in/out and maintaining accountability of a slot bank.
  • Effectively and efficiently make change for guests, while maintaining Title 31 requirements.
  • Inform shift management of any illegal gaming devices.
  • Understand North Fork Mono Casino & Resort's philosophy and work effectively to implement it.
  • Comply with all slot department policies.
  • Provides constructive feedback to Slot Department Management on necessary changes and improvements.
  • Handle guest opportunities in a positive and professional manner.
  • Be aware of all activities in assigned area.
  • Keep work areas neat, clean and safe.
  • Understanding and awareness of the players rewards program.
  • Aware of and updated on all upcoming events and promotions.
  • Promote enrollment on the slot floor by recruiting new players club sign‐ups in assigned areas.
  • Issue players club cards and input data into system.
  • Reprint players club cards upon request from a guest.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form.
  • Able to maintain positive and effective working relationships with Team Members, guests and other departments.
  • Working understanding of Title 31 requirements.
  • Understand and follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic math, money handling and computer skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Title 31, MICS and internal control regulations.
  • Understand and practice the company culture.
  • Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Slot experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
