Social Media (Beauty), Summer Intern

The Social Media (Beauty), Summer Intern will play a hands-on role in supporting the execution of high-impact, content-driven social media strategies across a portfolio of beauty brands. This role is designed for an individual who is highly creative, digitally fluent, and confident on camera, with a strong pulse on emerging social trends and beauty culture.

This is a fast-paced, content-centric internship that provides real-world exposure to brand storytelling, influencer-style content creation, and platform-specific marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty, understands what drives engagement across platforms, and is eager to contribute to a high-volume content environment.

This role operates in a collaborative, creative environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork, adaptability, and innovation. The Social Media (Beauty), Summer Intern should be prepared to actively participate, contribute ideas, and engage in both independent and team-based projects.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the creation and execution of daily social media content, including short-form video, stories, static posts, and trend-based content
• Appear on camera to showcase products, provide commentary, and support brand storytelling initiatives
• Communicate effectively and knowledgeably about a wide range of beauty products, brands, and industry trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on content ideation, scripting, and campaign planning
• Monitor and stay ahead of emerging social media trends, platform updates, and influencer strategies
• Support content scheduling, publishing, and basic performance tracking across platforms
• Help maintain brand consistency in tone, voice, and visual identity across all channels
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to increase engagement and brand visibility

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor�s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
• Strong understanding of social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
• Comfortable and confident being on camera with the ability to engage an audience authentically
• Demonstrated passion for beauty, skincare, makeup, and industry trends
• Familiarity with influencer culture, content creators, and viral content formats
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume content environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro
• Basic photography, videography, or lighting skills
• Prior experience creating content for personal or professional social media accounts
• Understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics

Please note - This is an in-house internship at our office located at 8E 41st Street, NY, NY. You will be working PT, Monday thru Thursday (12-5pm). The internship duration will be from June 1st - August 21st, 2026. The minimum and maximum pay will be fixed at $17.00 per hour
