Description


Position Summary: The Marketing Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing various property and social media marketing activities. These responsibilities include implementing each venue’s marketing support materials, coordinating any advertising opportunities, and assisting with property special events. Individual will be expected to contribute to the development and enhancement of the company’s products and services and must perform responsibilities in accordance with all Plaza Hotel & Casino company standards, policies, and procedures.


Essential Functions:

  • Develops and executes under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager comprehensive long and short-term marketing programs and policies to optimize the property’s brand image and messages. 
  • Works in conjunction with all property departments and facilitates all collateral requests between each of the property departments and the graphic design team.
  • Responsible for the production, delivery, and implementation of all property collateral for the Plaza Hotel & Casino.
  • Assists with the planning and coordination of any special events at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. 
  • Assists with media advertising placement for the Plaza Hotel & Casino.
  • Assist with content creation, listening, and analytics for multiple social media platforms and accounts.

Requirements


Required:

  • College student preferred. Minimum 2+ years marketing experience preferred. Casino experience is an advantage. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Must be proficient with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Some knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Hootsuite is an advantage.
  • Possess practical knowledge of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok 
  • Must have excellent written communication skills in English, combined with excellent proofreading skills to ensure content is accurate and grammatically correct. 
  • Be organized and detailed, passionate about the hospitality industry, and allow integrity and positive energy to lead. 


WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

  • Regular scheduled hours – Day shifts, flexible days off. Some early shifts as audits require.


Work Conditions:

Work is typically in an area that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.
