The JOB:
The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator will support the development and execution of digital and social content strategies, assist with creative production, and help maintain a cohesive brand presence across all platforms for Estancia La Jolla, L’Auberge Del Mar, and San Diego Mission Bay. This role reports directly to the Area Director of Marketing and works closely with marketing, PR, food and beverage, operations, and events teams.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy & Management
- Curate, schedule, and manage daily posts across Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
- Write engaging, platform-specific copy that supports brand voice and marketing objectives.
- Monitor social media trends, pop culture, and lifestyle content to create timely and relevant posts.
- Content Production & Creative Support
- Assist in planning and executing photo shoots and video productions, including concept development, shot lists, and on-site coordination.
- Film,edit, and produce high-quality photo and video content for digital channels.
- Influencer & Community Engagement
- Coordinate influencer and creator partnerships, including outreach, scheduling, and tracking deliverables.
- Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages professionally and promptly.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Track post performance and assist in reporting on metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Provide regular insights and updates to the Area Director of Marketing to inform strategy and optimize campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, PR, food and beverage, operations, and events teams to ensure content supports broader campaigns and on-property initiatives.
- Contribute creative ideas to support seasonal programming, brand activation, and guest experiences.
- Content Creation & Graphic Design
- Design and produce visually compelling graphics and assets for social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and visual identity across properties.

Requirements
- Experience with social media content creation, graphic design, and digital marketing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.) Canva or equivalent design/editing tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of trends in hospitality, lifestyle, and social media marketing preferred.
