About the Department

The Social Media Marketing Specialist is a highly competitive real-world employment opportunity, but is conveniently located on-campus, allowing students to easily work around their class schedule. Working hands-on to manage and create content for all of Falcon Outfitters' social media platforms, students will build their portfolio and highly value the experience.

Position Duties

  • Promote and maintain Falcon Outfitter?s social media presence utilizing Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.
  • Create monthly/weekly plans for all social media platforms.
  • Analyze/track results from Google AdWords, Facebook ads, and all social media insights to increase followers, engagement, and traffic to our web store.
  • Schedule photoshoots with students, alumni, etc., to model Falcon Outfitters apparel. Build a portfolio of images to use on social media, as well as in marketing materials.
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure that all promotions, sales, giveaways, etc., are adequately advertised across all social media platforms.
  • Assist with the development of graphic design elements in support of marketing and promotions, public relations, and other visual communication goals.
  • Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, tabling at promotional events such as Campus Fest, Orientation, and operational areas of Falcon Outfitters during peak periods on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a sophomore class standing, priority given to VCT and Marketing majors.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Google AdWords and Facebook ads, along with social media trends and tools. Ability to research new tools and implement them.
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for social media, as well as creativity and an orientation towards innovation and problem-solving.
  • Professional writer and verbal communication skills and ability to interact well with customers, internal clients, co-workers, and the general public.
  • Reliable and responsible. Has the ability to act independently, take initiative, and achieve results with little to no direct supervision.
  • Proven consistent and reliable attendance, excellent academic and work references, and evidence of accomplished projects or leadership experiences.
  • Part-time internship opportunities available for a minimum of one full academic semester, with renewal opportunity based upon performance and needs.
  • A work schedule of 20 hours per week is required, primarily during the week within normal business hours. Exceptions include peak or slow periods and special events, when the schedule can vary based on need.
  • Applicant MUST be available to work on campus in Bowling Green BOTH semesters to be considered for the position.
  • The position is ideal for students needing to complete an internship requirement, but it can also be filled as a regular employment opportunity (not a co-op).

  • Must be available during Spring 2026 and Summer 2026. Job is on-campus.
