Join Our Team at DCFS: SOCIAL SERVICES ANALYST 1/2/3
This position serves as the State Office resources for processing newly established Non-IN-D cases, entering and maintaining case information in LASES, responding to customer inquiries, processing consumer reporting(e-Oscar) disputes, documenting case activities, completing e-terminations, performing bankruptcy-related actions, and responding to daily, weekly, and monthly automated tasks, including suspense reports.

Position Duties
Three years of experience in social services; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
- Responds appropriately to correspondence and faced to and from attorneys.
- Provides parents upon request timely information on the current status of support payments.
- Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with the clerks, attorneys, and Uniform Payroll staff.
- Responsible for processing Parent Locate referrals.
- Responsible for compiling daily statistics on consumer reporting and locates performed each week and sending compiled weekly stats to supervisor email at the end of the workday each Friday.
- Performs other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the department.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
Work Location: East Baton Rouge Parish - State Office
Career Progression: May be filled as a Social Services Analyst 1-3 depending on qualifications.
Compensation: The referenced positions have a Special Entrance Rate (SER) see below:
