Job Description

The BAE Systems Advanced Technology Team (ATT) is at the forefront of this transformation, enabling next-generation digital engineering solutions that support high-impact, mission-critical programs.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our ATT Modeling & Simulation team, working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment to build the integrations and data pipelines that power a modern digital engineering ecosystem.
In this role, you will focus on developing software solutions that connect modeling tools, simulation environments, and analytics platforms — enabling seamless data flow and highly customized workflows tailored to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our ATT Modeling & Simulation team, working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment to build the integrations and data pipelines that power a modern digital engineering ecosystem.
In this role, you will focus on developing software solutions that connect modeling tools, simulation environments, and analytics platforms — enabling seamless data flow and highly customized workflows tailored to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop plugins, extensions, and custom software solutions for modeling & simulation (M&S) tools
- Design and implement integration points across tools within a complex digital engineering pipeline
- Integrate and use graphical user interfaces and visualization tools
- Build and maintain data pipelines that enable efficient data flow between modeling, simulation, and analytics systems
- Customize integrations and workflows to meet specific customer and program requirements
- Collaborate with systems engineers, analysts, and other developers to ensure tools and pipelines support mission needs
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and scale existing integrations within the M&S ecosystem
- Contribute to the overall architecture and reliability of the digital engineering toolchain

Required Skills and Education
- Typically a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline with 2+ years of experience
- Strong and confident communication/presentation skills
- Experience developing software applications or extensions (Java, Python, or similar — Java preferred)
- Experience integrating software systems or working with APIs
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex technical environments
- Experience in being part of a multidisciplinary project team
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret level clearance

Preferred Skills and Education
- Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, or analytics workflows
- Experience with modeling & simulation tools (e.g. Cameo Systems Modeler, Ansys ModelCenter, Ansys STK, etc.)
- Experience working in DoD environments
- Already holds active Secret level clearance
