About this role

Purpose

Design, develop, test, document and maintain production and R&D sonar and security system software in the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) at Applied Research Laboratories.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop sonar software applications and scripts in a Linux environment using C/C++, Python, Bash, and CMake.
  • Create supporting documentation for software and systems.
  • Maintain and test new and legacy code.
  • Participate in data collection exercises, data management, and analysis.
  • Support the installation and testing of equipment in field locations around the world.
  • Other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Python, C++, Git, and SQL.
  • Experience with the Linux terminal.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow established coding and testing standards and the ability to define, document, and maintain complex software applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience with Linux development.
  • Experience with graphical user interfaces in a Linux environment.
  • Frontend web experience.
  • Familiarity with machine learning technologies.
  • Familiarity with containerization for software development and deployment.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 with at least a 3.2 in relevant coursework.
