Needs an intern or postdoc researcher to contribute to a microgrid research and development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Distributed state estimation application expertise for active distribution systems/microgrids
- Expertise in robust control methods for stable transient operation of a microgrid
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduated with or in the final months of obtaining a PhD degree in Electrical engineering with major in power systems, in a US-Based University
Qualifications:
- 3.5+ GPA
- Excellent understanding of modern control theory principles including optimal control, robust control, Kalman estimators. Experience in applying these principles to power systems applications.
- Familiarity with basic operation philosophies, control and protection concepts for various types of Distributed Energy Recourses (DER).
- Familiarity with the microgrid operation concepts and the regulatory requirements for DER integration.
- Cyber-physical security research experience.
- C++/C programming skills.
- Real-time power system simulation experience is a plus.
