Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer for our Power Systems team in Rochester, NY. The Software Engineer is responsible for the entire software development lifecycle for a company's projects. They use their technical expertise to ensure quality standards and best practices throughout the process.

Duties

• Work closely with Product Owners and Operations Managers to design solutions with technical requirements
• Support and maintain custom internal Web Applications
• Take an active role in designing new software and computer systems
• Help create schematics or wire-frames for software, guide junior engineers in design techniques, and ensure initial schematics match customer preferences
• Stay updated with current technologies, techniques and any other development tools that might help make processes more efficient or modernized
• Advocate coding best practices
• Support CI/CD implementation
• Helps plan the scope, or size, of development projects and what creative direction to follow
