About the role:
As a Software Engineer I you will demonstrate and use software development best practices for successful completion of projects.
You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located at Shoreview, MN. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write design documents for software projects.
- Develop GE/Emerson PLC software using Proficy.
- Design HMIs using Wonderware InTouch and Proficy View
- Debug and test PLC and HMI software.
- Integrate HMI and database interfaces.
- Provide support for existing customers of WEC FHEM product line.
- Plan, schedule, and perform work to meet assignment requirements within established scope, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
- Read schematic diagrams and apply relevant information to the project software.
- Develop and review all software test procedures.
- Work with customers, vendors and other internal departments on a professional level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
- Identify areas for product/service improvements to management personnel.
- Identify and recommend improvements in processes on continuing basis and support implementation.
- Resolve Corrective Action issues and support process improvement efforts within department and company.
- Identify and help develop new business opportunities.
