About this role

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer–Developer to support our Daybreak team located in Kent, Washington. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

Join us to build the brain of a mission-critical radar processing ecosystem — the orchestrator that turns tasking inputs into timely, reliable products for customers across industry and defense partners. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your designs, decisions, and code directly shape how our fleet of applications coordinates, scales, and recovers under pressure.

You will work at the intersection of real-time systems, cloud-native engineering, and partner integrations. Your work will be visible, mission-critical, and continually evolving — we move fast, adopt new tech, and count on nimble engineers to make big things reliable. If you thrive on ownership, complexity, and impact, this is the place to shine.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native and real-time orchestration components that coordinate radar processing workflows and downstream products.
  • Lead and contribute to DevSecOps pipelines: CI/CD, automated testing, secure build/release flows, and deployment automation.
  • Manage multiple C++ and mixed-language code repositories, implement build/test pipelines, and maintain cross-platform compatibility and CI validation.
  • Implement automated regression tests and validation suites, and ensure repeatable, auditable release processes.
  • Integrate partner systems and simulation inputs (e.g., supply chain / transport simulations) to increase system fidelity and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex multi-environment bugs to increase reliability across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Work with product and systems teams to harden software for operational and mission environments; contribute to threat modeling and secure design reviews.
