Software Engineer I

Overview

Job Purpose
Designing, modeling, developing and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS).

Responsibilities

• Exhibits enthusiasm for complete, consistent, on time and accurate data conversion.
• Acquires and converts data using a variety of tools and methods including the use of ICE proprietary tools.
• Analyzes data, performs quality assurance on converted data and provides solutions to resolve known exceptions with the data.
• Configures, observes, and troubleshoots various automated data conversion processes.
• Verifies data conversion results, creates, modifies and executes SQL queries, scripts and stored procedures.
• Performs routine and custom data maintenance tasks for existing customer base.
• Configures web-based applications to display data for customer consumption.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Experience in orchestrating the coordination of data related activities to ensure on-time delivery of data solutions to support business capability requirements including data activity planning, risk mitigation, issue resolution and design negotiation.
• Ability to design effective management of reference data.
• Experience in SQL or PL/SQL (or comparable language)
