Software Engineer Intern

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities)

• Assist in modernizing or building a new application
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to define and implement core features
• Coordinate creation of new reports in partnership with DEAG as needed
• Document processes and progress in JIRA
• Support obsolescence of previous application if necessary

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a junior is a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with application development concepts and lifecycle.

Desired Skills:

• Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) and data visualization.
• Cloud development familiarity
• Ability to communicate blockers and concerns to the team and proactively solicit guidance for more complex problems.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn; rapidly improve and apply what you have learned.

This Summer Internship role will focus upon and require completion of a project for presentation to our technology leadership. This intern must report to our Maryville, TN office.

Interns will receive hands on training and experience to better understand our corporate atmosphere. The purpose is to bridge the gap between the academic setting and a future work environment.
