Software Engineer Intern – Denver, CO

Role Responsibilities

• In this role, you will work with outstanding engineering teams and support/develop on global applications with new technologies and standards. 

Role Requirements 

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older. 
• Must be enrolled in a college degree program and have earned 60 credit hours by the end of May 2026.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a closely related field. 
• Experience in Reactjs, Javascript, Typescript is mandatory.
• React Native is a huge plus.
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D
• Understanding in modern programming languages (for example, Java/Angular/Python) and design patterns.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Must be available to participate in the 12-week program from June 1 to August 21 at Western Union Headquarters in Denver, CO.  Please note that travel and housing allowances are not provided.

Work Shift

HYBRID - Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.

Salary

The hourly rate is $25.00 per hour.
