As a Software Engineer Intern, you will gain exposure to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), assist in implementing new features, support troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to maintaining applications in a production environment. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field who are eager to build real-world experience in Drupal and modern web technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in developing and modifying Drupal modules or web components under guidance from senior engineers.
- Support the design and implementation of Drupal-based solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving production issues following established guidelines.
- Contribute documentation for SDLC phases, including technical specifications and test cases.
- Support front-end development tasks using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Gain a unique skillset at the intersection of software engineering and digital marketing.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment.
- Learn technical and soft skills that will help make your resume stand out.
- No experience with specific technologies necessary (though it’s great if you have some) if you have a solid understanding of how technology works and the curiosity and drive to learn new tech.
What You’ll Need
- Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program related to computer science, IT, information science, management information systems, data science, mathematics, physics, or digital marketing with a graduation year of 2027 or 2028.
- An understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one programming language (PHP, JavaScript, Python).
- An understanding of databases, data modeling, and data science concepts.
- Familiarity with Drupal (any recent version preferred) or other CMS platforms.
- Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
- Exposure to building web applications or websites, preferably using rich modern JS frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- An adaptive mindset and desire to learn new technologies quickly.
- Critical thinking, curiosity, and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work full 40-hour weeks virtually from June 17 – August 7, 2026 (internship dates cannot be altered).

Bonus:
- Interest or familiarity with generative AI tools and platforms, including but not limited to OpenAI, GPT, Stable Diffusion, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of website performance optimization techniques, responsive design principles, and accessibility standards.
- Exposure to content management systems (CMS), particularly Drupal, with understanding of Views, content types, and taxonomy.
- Foundational knowledge of SEO best practices, including on-page optimization, metadata management, structured content, and technical SEO principles.
- Familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, including tracking implementation and performance reporting.
- Basic knowledge of integrating analytics, SEO tools, or third-party APIs within web applications.
