Software Engineer – Platform & Microservices

 

Position Summary

We are seeking an early‑career software engineer to join our platform development team, building solutions that power global in‑store and cloud applications for Kodak Moments. Our platform supports 100K+ kiosks worldwide, millions of mobile users, and web experiences that enable customers to create personalized imaging products for rapid in‑store pickup or home delivery.

 

You will collaborate with a cross‑functional team to design, develop, and test scalable software in a modern Agile development environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain microservices consumed by Web, Mobile, and Kiosk applications
  • Develop containerized services (Docker) deployable to both Cloud (Azure) and Desktop / on‑prem environments
  • Write clean, modular, and reusable code for scalability, reliability, and security
  • Contribute to development and support of C# and C++ codebases
  • Integrate third‑party imaging and processing services
  • Collaborate with DevOps and architecture teams to support CI/CD pipelines and operational readiness
  • Evaluate and prototype new technologies to improve platform capabilities

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 1-5 years experience
  • Experience with object‑oriented programming and modern software design principles
  • Hands‑on experience building RESTful APIs / microservices
  • Working knowledge of C# (.NET), Javascript (react & redux)
  • Experience containerizing applications using Docker
  • Familiarity deploying services to Cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills

 

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

  • Experience deploying, installing, and configuring applications on Linux‑based systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, or DevOps practices (preferably Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with Git, build pipelines, and package management
  • Exposure to hybrid deployments (Cloud & desktop systems)

 

Technical Skills

  • Microservices & APIs: REST, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON
  • Containers & Deployment: Docker, basic container orchestration concepts
  • Cloud Platforms: Azure (AWS or GCP acceptable)
  • Databases: SQL, MySQL/MariaDB, NoSQL concepts
  • Development Tools: Visual Studio, Git

Compensation: $85,000 - $103,000 annually, based on level of experience
