Soldering Technician

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is seeking a skilled Energetics/Electronics Technician to support a combination of mechanical and electro-explosive assembly operations. This role involves approximately 25% electronics soldering and 75% mechanical and energetic assembly work. The position is based in Simsbury, CT and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Hand solder small, complex components and connectors per J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements
• Perform Potting and Encapsulation operations using a variety of different materials and mixing methods
• Assemble Electrical and Electro-Mechanical assemblies
• Support Inspection of Electronics Assemblies per IPC-A-610 Class 3
• Adherence to all safety standards and work instructions.
• Perform assembly and inspection operations in accordance with detailed manufacturing instructions, product drawings and quality plans.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and documentation.
• Assist engineers in manufacturing process development activities under direction of the engineer’s written instructions.
• Support inventory maintenance of component parts and materials.
• Setup and maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles.
• Provide feedback to engineers and supervisor for improvements.
