Job Description:


The Cybersecurity Intern will support the Corporate Cybersecurity team in strengthening operational security processes across SOTG affiliates. This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise security operations, asset governance, identity management, and security tool administration. The intern will assist with documentation, data validation, and coordination efforts to improve visibility, accountability, and compliance across the environment.


Responsibilities:

Affiliate Asset Management Support

  • Assist with asset inventory validation, reconciliation, and classification activities
  • Support CMDB updates and data normalization efforts
  • Track asset ownership, lifecycle status, and governance requirements

Password & Access Management Support

  • Assist with password policy reviews and enforcement tracking
  • Support privileged and shared account review processes
  • Help monitor password vault hygiene and remediation activities
  • Track corrective actions related to password-related risk findings

Security Awareness & Training Tracking

  • Monitor Security Awareness Proficiency Assessment (SAPA) scores
  • Assist in identifying employees requiring remedial training
  • Support reporting metrics for leadership visibility
  • Help coordinate follow-ups for employees below required thresholds

Security Tools & Operational Support

  • Assist with monitoring security dashboards and reporting outputs
  • Support documentation of security tool configurations and processes
  • Help track remediation items and follow-up actions across affiliates

Documentation & Process Support

  • Develop and update SOPs, process documentation, and knowledge base articles
  • Assist with audit evidence collection and organization
  • Support policy, control, and governance documentation updates

 

Skillset:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Sophomore or Junior standing preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (identity management, asset management, or risk/compliance)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and documentation tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn enterprise security tools and processes
