Job Description:


We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn HR & Communications Intern to join our team. As an HR Intern, you will support day-to-day human resources operations, recruiting coordination, and internal communications initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in a corporate environment. You will work closely with the HR team and cross-functional partners to assist with interview scheduling, document management, SharePoint content updates, internal communications materials, and special projects. This role offers exposure to real-world HR processes, organizational communications, and administrative operations, providing a strong foundation for a career in human resources, communications, or business operations.


Responsibilities:

 

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with employee file conversion for Workday HCM implementation project.
  • Assist with data conversion related to Workday and Global Payroll system implementations.
  • Assist with recruiting coordination, including interview scheduling, calendar management, and candidate communications.
  • Support HR file organization and records management, ensuring documents are properly categorized and maintained.
  • Manage document uploads and maintain accurate digital filing practices.
  • Provide administrative and project support for organizational development and HR initiatives as needed.

Marketing & Communications Support

  • Maintain and update Seaboard Connect (SharePoint) pages, including affiliate contact information, administrative updates, and content organization.
  • Assist with research related to the Seaboard Foundation Division Grant, including data gathering and summary preparation.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations and Accounting teams to update organizational data, operational details, and annual sales/volume metrics.

Skillset:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Sophomore or Junior standing at an accredited university preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage calendars, coordinate schedules, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); SharePoint experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a professional environment.
  • Experience with document management systems or HR tools (e.g., Suti, ATS platforms) is a plus but not required.
