As a leader in the retail grocery industry, we are committed to feeding all the important moments in our customers’ lives. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Asset Protection Specialist responsible for ensuring the success and operational effectiveness related to shrink within the stores across the district. In this role, the Asset Protection Specialist drives shrink reduction, front-end KPIs, and fuel compliance, while demonstrating best practices in these areas. This position collaborates closely with the Regional Asset Protection Managers and District Directors to execute day-to-day operations, as well as develop and implement overall strategy. Additionally, the Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for fostering talent development within the Asset Protection Department.
What we ask of you:

Lead and support district Asset Protection strategies to reduce shrink, improve safety, and drive compliance across stores and fuel stations

Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 AP Associates to achieve performance and growth goals

Investigate internal and external theft, including cash discrepancies, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed

Partner with cross-functional teams (Profitability, HR, and Store Operations) to identify root causes of shrink and execute corrective actions

Conduct regular store visits to reinforce shrink and safety strategies, deliver training, and support operational execution

Act as a key liaison with District leadership and store teams to communicate AP priorities and provide feedback on in-store opportunities

Monitor and manage service needs related to alarms, CCTV, and physical store security (e.g., keys and core orders)

Utilize reporting tools and technology to detect and prevent asset loss and monitor AP performance

Prepare detailed case reports and maintain accurate documentation of internal and external investigations

Ensure compliance with all operational, safety, and environmental standards, particularly in fuel stations and high-risk areas
What you bring to the table:

3–5 years of experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or a related field

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team and driving business results

Strong investigative and analytical abilities, with experience handling internal and external theft cases

Excellent communication and coaching skills to support team development and performance

Knowledge of shrink reduction strategies, AP technologies, and retail operations

The salary range for this position is $72,880-$109,320 and will be commensurate with background, experience as well as internal equity.
