About this role
MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Photo and Video Content Specialist is responsible for producing engaging, high-quality multimedia content, including photography and short-form video, that supports Inspira Health’s brand, marketing and digital storytelling efforts. This role serves as a trusted representative and authentic storyteller for Inspira Health, helping to capture and convey real human experiences in a way that reflects the organization’s mission, values and voice. This is a hands-on, production-focused role that requires the ability to plan, capture, edit and optimize visual content for use across social media, web and communications. The specialist must demonstrate reliability, follow-through and the ability to adapt to evolving organizational needs and priorities.
This is a hybrid role, requiring a home-office base and the ability to travel weekly to photo and video shoots at Inspira Health‘s hospitals and affiliated locations across Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties. A portfolio and/or work samples demonstrating proficiency in photography and video production are required for consideration for this position. While candidates should be skilled in both photography and video, this role places a stronger emphasis on video production, short-form social media content creation and dynamic storytelling, with photography serving as a complementary skill set.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in photography, Film/Video Production, Communications, Digital Media, or related field required.
- 3+ years’ experience in professional photography and video production, with an emphasis on video, including on-location shooting and post-production editing.
- 3+ years' experience producing short-form, social media-optimized video content (i.e., vertical video through Instagram/Facebook Reels and Stories)
- 3+ years' experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom; After Effects preferred, but not required).
- 2+ years’ experience in multimedia storytelling, including on-camera talent direction and conducting interviews
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of social media platforms and analytics, including how to optimize photo and video content for reach and engagement.
- Prior experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven environments preferred
- Strong camera operation skills with DSLR/mirrorless systems and mobile devices.
- Excellent understanding of composition, lighting, color and visual storytelling.
- Ability to edit both photos and short-form videos quickly and efficiently.
- Familiarity with AI content tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Runway, CapCut AI) preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, including file management and asset tagging.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and solve problems on set.
- Comfortable guiding subjects during shoots and engaging with employees/physicians in a professional manner.
