Job Summary:

 

Under minimal guidance, the Sr Government Compliance Specialist manages Government and Company‑Owned Property by applying in‑depth conceptual and practical knowledge of government compliance requirements. This role works independently, solving complex issues and taking a new perspective on established procedures to ensure continued adherence to Government‑approved business systems. The specialist implements and maintains Property Policies and Procedures that meet all Government, customer, contractual, and Elbit America requirements. They interpret internal and external compliance challenges and recommend best practices to strengthen processes and system integrity. The Sr Government Compliance Specialist supports contract execution by following contract objectives, Statements of Work, deliverables, and defined performance metrics, and may lead projects or project steps within broader initiatives. Acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience, this role impacts a range of operational and project activities within their own team and related teams. The specialist communicates complex compliance and property‑management information clearly, builds consensus on sensitive issues, and ensures accuracy and consistency across all property control efforts.

 

 

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Support DCMA audits and self‑assessment requirements in line with property outcomes and requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), specifically FAR 45 and 52.245‑1.
  • Support property objectives, work plans, and delivery schedules.
  • Build relationships and strengthen knowledge within government and customer asset‑management communities.
  • Support and ensure execution of corrective action plans.
  • Assist with tracking and compiling metric data and property management self‑assessment data.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure property compliance practices, policies, and standards are followed.
  • Conduct government and night vision audits and inventories, and report results to stakeholders.
  • Maintain oversight of FAR requirements for all receipts and transfers of government property.
  • Create DD1149 forms and other required shipping documents.
  • Process ship‑in‑place assets.
  • Support property contract closeout and disposition activities.
  • Generate required reports.
  • Support physical inventory of assets.
  • Maintain the asset management system to ensure traceability and accurate transaction history.
  • Receive, identify, tag, and create asset records as needed.
  • Coordinate property reviews and inventories at subcontractor locations to ensure control of government and company‑owned property.
  • Report property transactions through PIEE, including shipment, receipt, transfer, consumption, LTDD, and excess property.
  • Coordinate collection, arrange recycling, disposal of obsolete property; manage options for best value, report and record. Arrange contracts and manage flow. Work with internal team  

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, plus 5 or more years of experience.
  • 4 additional years of experience in a comparable role may substitute a bachelor's degree
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
  • Knowledge of Trade Compliance a plus

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong PC skills especially with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems, DASH/PROMIS familiarity, and Government systems
  • Government document processing knowledge, control and audit compliance with Government records,
  • Some familiarity shipping

 

Travel and Physical Requirements: 

 

  • Some travel can be required for Government meetings, supplier inspection and survey, Certification and training and corporate meetings.
  • May be required to work in a clean room environment, which would require employee to put on protective suits, face coverings and gloves.
