Role Summary

Join a high-impact HR team that partners with senior leaders and business units to influence talent, culture, and organizational performance across the firm. As the Senior Human Resources Consultant (Sr. HRC), you’ll be a senior advisor and trusted consultant on complex people priorities, while serving as the right hand and principal support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP). You will lead cross-functional projects, provide expert guidance, and help execute enterprise programs—ensuring HR strategies are translated into practical solutions that drive business results. This role specifically supports the Global Equity and T. Rowe Price Investment Management (TRPIM) organizations within Investments.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be accountable for:

  • Serve as the senior-most HR consultant supporting the HRBP, acting as their delegate and advisor within assigned business units.

  • Partner closely with business units and the Human Resources Relationship Management (HRRM) team members to design and deliver HR strategies that support business objectives and associate engagement.

  • Lead and execute strategic HR projects in service to the business area supported, from scoping through implementation. Projects may be complex, cross-functional, and require coordination of multiple stakeholders and Centers of Expertise (COEs).

  • Act as an expert consultant on key HR functional areas, including:

    • Organizational development and change management

    • Performance management and career development

    • Compensation strategy and total rewards alignment

    • Talent management and succession planning

    • Diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives

  • Provide senior-level counsel on HR policies, best practices, and sensitive people decisions; apply sound judgment to interpret policy and develop creative, risk-aware solutions that meet business needs and drive strong outcomes.

  • Maintain an enterprise-wide mindset while navigating complex people situations by developing creative, risk-conscious solutions that align with HR policy where appropriate, balancing business objectives with firm standards to achieve strong outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Centers of Expertise (COEs) to co-create firm-wide tools, processes, and frameworks and to operationalize COE strategies at the business-unit level.

  • Use HR analytics, dashboards, and reporting to identify trends, influence decisions, measure impact, and recommend data-driven interventions.

What success looks like in this role:

  • You are recognized as a senior, trusted advisor, working in tandem with the HRBP and the HRRM team to deliver measurable people outcomes (e.g., improved retention, stronger leadership bench, effective change adoption).

  • Strategic projects are delivered on time, within scope, and result in demonstrable improvements to business performance or people metrics.

  • Employee relations are handled fairly, consistently, and with minimal business disruption.

  • HR programs and COE initiatives are implemented smoothly and are adopted by managers and associates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience in an HR generalist or HR consulting role supporting senior leaders and business partners within financial services, asset management, professional services or similar corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the core HR areas noted above (org design, performance, compensation, talent, D&I, complex employee relations).

  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred:

  • Investment management industry experience.

  • Experience working with client groups handling high-value intellectual property and sensitive information.

  • Excellent influencing, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to present recommendations to senior leaders and gain buy-in.

  • Comfortable working with HR systems and analytics tools; ability to interpret data and turn it into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential matters professionally.

  • Strong foundation in compensation, with experience supporting complex, nuanced compensation needs and partnering with Compensation COE to develop customized, business-aligned solutions.
