Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is looking for a strong technical leader to join our world-class 200mm Advanced Module Engineering team! CVD Module Engineering Manager at GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is responsible for leading teams who own the balanced scorecard metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Value, Team) for the Chemical Vapor Deposition toolsets in support of the 200mm manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing engineering teams in a high-paced manufacturing environment and in developing strategies to meet and improve key performance indicators.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Directly manage the team of Process and Equipment engineers
- Tactical engagement in all module activities to ensure business need objectives with crisp communications to executive management
- Develop module accountability structure to ensure business commitments do not slip and standard work is performed
- Development and management of projects to enable Fab 9 balanced scorecard strategy deployment goals.
- Lead an engineering team to complete complex deliverable and make appropriate data-based decisions
- Work across organizations to enable improved processes and teamwork including Technology Development, Characterization, Quality, ISC, and Procurement
- Have availability outside of standard 5/2 schedule on an ad hoc basis based upon business needs
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Any other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- Education - BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or equivalent discipline
- Experience - minimum of 7-8 years as Process or Equipment Engineer
- Some people management experience
- Knowledge of semiconductor processing.
- Specific CVD/Thin Films experience preferred but not required
- Fluent in English Language – both written & verbal
- Wear PPE as needed, per cleanroom requirements, standing / sitting for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a tightly coupled team are a must
- Experience in LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN 6 Sigma methods
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Previous semiconductor engineering management and strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-motivated
- Ability to communicate expertly with all organizational levels and experience in working with external constituencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-task programs and ability to adjust to shifting priorities
- Understand complex automated systems and human interactions
- Other responsibilities as directed by management
Expected Salary Range
$143,000.00 - $247,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
