About this role
Description
Enterprise Foundational AI (EFAI), a team within Enterprise Engineering, accelerates Amazon's AI-native transformation by building, integrating, and scaling foundational AI products and experiences that power Amazonian productivity globally. We're seeking a creative, industrious, customer-obsessed PM who is interested in joining a team with a high-impact mission.
As a Product Manager Tech in our Enterprise Foundational AI organization, you will lead the strategy and execution of foundational AI primitives and core AI products that transform how Amazonians work. You will drive product innovation across unified, secure, and intelligent building blocks used by AI application builders across Amazon, as well as end-to-end AI-native experiences that solve high-frequency workflows common across the company. Your work will directly shape a future where AI is not a separate tool to adopt, but a native layer woven into every Amazonian's processes, decisions, and workflows.
Key job responsibilities
As a Product Manager-Tech, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for foundational AI products, both technical primitives that serve builders and core AI experiences that deliver measurable productivity gains to Amazonians.
This includes identifying opportunities across Amazon's internal AI ecosystem, prioritizing capabilities based on business impact and composability, and creating comprehensive product roadmaps. You'll need to stay current with the rapidly evolving AI and enterprise software landscape, work backwards from high-frequency employee workflows, and translate user needs into requirements that deliver AI-native experiences.
In addition to gathering and synthesizing requirements, you will define success metrics grounded in real time savings and customer satisfaction, and ensure alignment between technical capabilities and business objectives. A crucial aspect of your role will be managing relationships with senior leadership and partner organizations, effectively communicating product strategy, and driving consensus among diverse stakeholder groups. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle with a bias toward shipping composable, horizontal solutions that serve many teams before building for any single org.
A day in the life
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting user research, analyzing adoption and productivity data, and making data-driven decisions to guide product development. You'll oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through launch and iteration, ensuring that products meet quality standards, earn user trust, and deliver measurable business value. You'll partner closely with engineering and science teams to define v1 experiences that prove concepts quickly, measure impact in real time, and stop what isn't working even when it's popular. Additionally, you'll be responsible for developing launch plans, creating product documentation, and establishing processes for measuring and reporting on product performance, adoption metrics, and AI-driven productivity outcomes.
