Assist in the performance of electrical and mechanical work involved in the installation, removal, dismantling, maintenance, alteration and wiring of electrical equipment; and to perform related work as assigned. Satisfactory completion of all required training. Responsible for adherence to all governmental regulations and company policies and procedures. This position is subject to shift work and overtime, including required response to callouts.

• Five (5) Day Qual School scheduled the following weeks: 11/2; 11/9; 11/16; 11/30; 12/7
• All qualifiers are for both SSC & TS
• Qualifier selection call will be held sometime in October
• COMBINED SSC & TS school selection call will be held sometime in late February before school start
  • If eligible, you will choose the school available to you
• You MUST PASS the qualifier in order to be considered eligible for school.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

JOB SCOPE

This is an entry level position progressing to Electric Mechanic in SSC. This is a school posting, and there are minimum eligibility requirements needed to attend school.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must successfully meet required screening and selection standards, where applicable, including a prescribed examination (CAST Test), interviews, and work record review. Valid and current driver's license. CDL Permit Required (by the beginning of the school). Must obtain and maintain a commercial driver's license (CDL) including required endorsements within 30 days of promotion and maintain a CDL.
