We are looking for a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our team in our Atlanta office. You will work closely with our Controller and many different teams across our organization

A DAY IN THE LIFE:- Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly and investigating discrepancies.
- Assist controllers in preparing and monitoring overhead budgets.
- Work extensively in Microsoft Excel, with spreadsheets with complex formulas and Power Query.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns for various local and state entities.
- Work with controllers and project managers to obtain and renew the appropriate state and local contractor and business licenses.
- Prepare, post, and reconcile a wide range of journal entries, including job cost accruals and adjustments, ensuring accurate cost allocations, proper period recognition, and overall alignment with company financials.
- Work with controllers throughout the month end close process, supporting the preparation and review of financial statements for multiple entities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Public accounting experience a plus but not required.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Vista/ Viewpoint Software is a plus
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
