Position Summary
Anderson-Negele, a global leader in hygienic instrumentation and process measurement solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
  • Assist with inventory accounting and cost analysis in a manufacturing environment
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation
  • Support tax reporting and regulatory filings as required
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
  • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with JDE preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cost accounting or inventory accounting
  • Experience in a global or multi-entity environment
  • Familiarity with internal controls and SOX compliance
