Description of Work
As of the date of this initial posting, this position is considered subject to the North Carolina Human Resources Act. However, it is our intention that this position will be designated as exempt from the North Carolina Human Resources Act prior to employment. Please reach out to the listed agency contact with any questions regarding the status of this position.The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking a Staff Auditor I to serve within our Medicaid Audit Division. In this position, you will serve as an entry-level professional auditor who assists with Medicaid audits.
As a part of our team, you will get to:
Participate in audit planning meetings and discussions related to assigned Medicaid audits
Observe and assist in gaining an understanding of Medicaid programs, processes, and internal controls relevant to the audit objectives
Perform audit testing procedures designed by the Medicaid Audit team
Complete fieldwork as necessary

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

A bachelor’s degree with 12 semester hours in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution
