The Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM) is the fiscal backbone of the State of Ohio enterprise. OBM works with the Governor and every state agency in providing policy analysis, fiscal research, and financial management services. We help state agencies shape Ohio’s future by ensuring the proper and responsible use of state resources!

 


What You'll Do: 

This role sits at the center of Ohio’s financial operations, ensuring accountability, accuracy, and compliance across state agency transactions. As part of a highly collaborative financial services team, the position drives operational excellence by reviewing, analyzing, and validating a wide range of agency vouchers, requisitions, and fiscal documentation. The role also monitors statewide transaction activity, resolves issues through research and agency outreach, and ensures alignment with state and federal financial policies.

With responsibilities that include generating monthly reports, entering and approving vouchers, reviewing ISTV transactions, and supporting year-end close processes, this position plays a key part in strengthening financial controls and improving statewide consistency. It’s an opportunity to support agencies across Ohio, contribute to continuous improvement, and help maintain the integrity of state financial processes.

  • Reviews, analyzes, & approves OhioBuys requisitions.

  •  Reviews, verifies, & inputs Controlling Board waivers.

  •  Reviews, verifies, & inputs Director’s Portal requests.

Completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, business administration, finance or related field. 

-Or 12 months experience as State Accounting Financial Analyst 1, 62211. 

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
