About this role

Magee Women's Research Institute (MWRI) is the largest research institute in the US dedicated to women's health and reproductive biology.  This position will need strong data analytic skills.  Preferred experience working in the research science field preferred.


Performs expert statistical analysis and summary reports on complex research data/sets using advanced techniques and analyzes data using high-level statistical or mathematical software employing expert-level experience. Designs statistical tools and algorithms and utilizes advanced descriptive and quantitative statistical techniques. Provides statistical support, creates analytic data files, advises on database design, and ensures compliance with University and federal regulations. Crafts statistical portions of scientific manuscripts and grant proposals and oversees associated reporting data.

Performs expert statistical analysis on complex research data/sets using advanced techniques; prepares corresponding summary reports for faculty. Analyzes data using high-level statistical or mathematical software to generate descriptive statistics and develop statistical models and graphics; possesses expert experience with statistical software. 
    
Designs complex statistical tools and algorithms for checking data validity; uses advanced descriptive and quantitative statistical techniques including, but not limited to, means, frequencies, variance, correlations, logistic regression, linear regression, principle component analysis, and cluster analysis. Reviews and corrects statistical output for consistency and quality. 
    
Provides statistical consultation and support for residents/students/faculty in formulating new project/data research. 
    
Creates analytic data files; advises faculty on database design, management for storing, and easy retrieval methods. 
   
Writes statistical analysis portions of scientific manuscripts and sections of grant proposals, prepares tables and graphs, and oversees data reported in manuscripts and grants for accuracy and appropriate statistical interpretation. 
    
Ensures compliance with University and federal regulations.

Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.  Extensive use of computer is required.
