Position Summary:

The Steakhouse Server Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area, supporting the service team, and ensuring a positive Guest experience. This includes tasks like pre-bussing and clearing tables, setting up tables, stocking service stations, and assisting with Guest requests. They also play a vital role in maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness and sanitation standards. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Steakhouse Assistant Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Clear dirty dishes, utensils and glassware, wipe down tables, and reset them with clean linens, silverware and glassware (if applicable).
  • Assist servers by delivering food and beverages, delivering and refilling water glasses, and responding to Guest requests.
  • Ensure service stations are well-stocked with necessary supplies such as napkins, silverware, condiments, and glassware.
  • Sweep and mop floors, empty trash receptacles, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to Guests, including directing them to restrooms and exits.
  • Collaborate with other Team Members, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Adhere to all restaurant safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and cleaning protocols.
  • Ensure a professional and presentable appearance, reflecting the restaurant's dining standards.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a full-service restaurant required; fine dining restaurant experience preferred.
  • Current Food Handler certification and RBS certificate required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and drinks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends and graveyard and holidays.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
