Storage QA Tech Lead (10291)

Skill requirements:

• Strong experience in handling scrum teams and customer stakeholders meetings to plan release activities
• Working experience in VMware Certification testing - VAAI NAS, vRops 
• Hands-on experience with VMware qualification/certification testing for vcenter,vcsa,vRealize operation
• Strong understanding of VMware virtualization with hands-on experience with ESXi (vsphere) OS install/upgrade, vcenter and VCSA install/upgrade
• Hands-on testing experience with VMware cluster HA ,DRS configuration,ESXi networking,VM features like snapshot ,vm move, vmotion,
• Have knowledge of vm clone,vm template,virtual disks,backup and restore
• Hands-on testing experience of firmware, storage controller, disk controllers etc.
• Automation scripting hands on with shell/Perl/Python
• Good understanding/hands-on with DAS/NAS/SAN Storage,RAID,snapshot,data dedup and Servers
• Good understanding of OS internals, file system,process,thread,OS commands(e.g.Linux commands)
• HyperConverged Infrastructure understanding would be a plus.
• Understanding of Test/Defect life cycle
• Excellent debugging and problem analysis skills by looking at test/device logs.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum will be an added advantage

Job Responsibilities:

• Active interaction with customer stakeholders and partners to understand release cadence releated processes and task to be planned accordingly
• Interact with technical teams of customer for discussions on test requirements ,understand test requirements,create test plan/test cases
• Setup test environment with large no.of nodes and VMs with different workloads and IOPS,create backup/restore policies,execute test cases,monitor and debug failures and report test results.
• Work with a team of developers and co-testers towards common project goals
• Mentor junior test engineer and guide team on test case/plan creation and triage defects
• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech – IT/CS/EEE/ECE/Mech/MCA/MCS.BCS/BCA/ME/MTech-CS/IT
