Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, auto, OEMs, telecom, e-commerce/retail, apps, ads, gaming, or technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing commercial agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-party partnership initiatives and structuring commercial agreements.
  • Experience in the mobile apps ecosystem, developer business generation models, or alternative billing platform structures.
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing matrixed cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Experience communicating complex commercial proposals and trade-off structures to executive leadership and external executives.

About the job

As the Strategic Partnerships Development Lead, you will serve as the single, end-to-end global relationship owner and business lead for one of Google’s most complex, visible, and strategically critical alliances. In this high-stakes role, you will represent Android and Google Play interests, leading business strategies, driving platform integrations, and navigating complex commercial negotiations. Additionally, you will guide and mentor an Associate Business Development Manager (ABDM) and direct a highly cross-functional support team to achieve ambitious growth and ecosystem adoption goals.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $176000 - $255000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year business development and business growth strategies for the partner's global mobile app portfolio.
  • Lead complex, multi-party, and cross-product area commercial agreement structures and negotiations, including co-terminus product and distribution frameworks.
  • Drive product integrations for priority Android surfaces (including Large Screens, Google TV, Auto, and Wear) across the partner's media services.
  • Orchestrate and quarterback a highly matrixed cross-functional support team, including Product, Engineering, DevRel, TAMs, Legal, Tax, and Payments to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Build trusted relationships with executives internally and externally, preparing plans and aligning stakeholders on key business initiatives.
