Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, graduate degree, or equivalent practical experience in a technical, quantitative, or business field.
  • Experience managing relationships and working cross-functionally within global organizations.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the “big picture" to executive teams, while maintaining exceptional attention to execution details.
  • Outstanding program management with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate complex meetings with executives and partner across multiple functions in an organization.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) team serves as the strategy, operations, and product commercialization partner to GBO, ensuring Google’s Ads business delivers growth and operates effectively.

This team sets a go-to-market strategy, shapes priorities to accelerate growth, and commercializes the next generation of Ads products. GTM builds critical infrastructure from tooling to business skills to ensure flawless execution against business priorities. Embedded globally and across major Ads areas, team members are investigative and pragmatic.

This role sits within Global Business Strategy and Operations (GBS&O), which accelerates Google’s performance through four core functions: a) GBO/GTM Chief of Staff; b) Strategy and Planning; c) Ads Policy, Risk and Compliance; and d) Data Insights and Analytics.

As Strategy and Operations Lead in the Chief of Staff team, you will increase the effectiveness of key decisions and ensure the team achieves its annual goals. You will partner closely with teams across GTM, GBO, and cross-functional partners like Finance and PeopleOps. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with and learn from Google’s most executive leaders, shaping the executive agenda across near- and long-term horizons while addressing our top issues and opportunities in the "room where it happens."

You will demonstrate the ability to lead through ambiguity, display the confidence and judgment to thoughtfully tests and partner with executive leaders, and build strong cross-functional relationships across multiple levels of the organization.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $152000 - $221000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, tracking, and execution of GBO/GTM’s annual OKRs, priorities, and planning throughout the year.
  • Oversee team operations including budget, headcount, and resource planning while managing the rhythm and agenda for executive leadership meetings.
  • Manage project and program high-priority business initiatives on behalf of GBO/GTM leadership to ensure seamless execution against key outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance, PeopleOps, Marketing, and Communications to scope, align, and deliver complex projects.
  • Author leadership communications, synthesise complex insights into executive-ready presentations, and present key takeaways to executive stakeholders.
