Job Summary
Institute of Black Intellectual Innovation (IBII) at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) is a cross-campus and community-minded initiative to expose all students to Black culture, creative arts, and intellectual history at CSUF and throughout Orange County.
Currently, we are seeking a Student Assistant with Federal Work Study to provide administrative support for IBII.
The Student Assistant plays a vital role in promoting the mission of CSUF and IBII throughout Orange County.
Under general supervision, the SA will support staff with administrative support for IBII such as:
answering phones, greeting visitors, scanning and uploading documents, maintaining spreadsheets, maintaining social media platforms, and maintaining IBII's website.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications
- Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
- Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
- In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
- Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Required Qualifications:
The Student Assistant must be an active student at CSUF with a Federal Work Study award for Fall 2025 with good academic status.
- Proficiency in basic clerical skills
- Basic knowledge of computers and efficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
- Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a respectful, helpful, and friendly tone
- Organizational skills
- Maintain a neat appearance and positive attitude
- May require the ability to lift/pull/carry up to 25lbs of supplies, materials and/or equipment over long and short distances
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with creating websites
