Job Description Summary:

The Student Intern for IT Cybersecurity will be responsible for assisting the Cybersecurity team to deploy and manage enterprise antivirus and single sign-on solution. Provide reporting on various security platforms, and follow-up on security events including troubleshooting and remediation. Participate in education to end users regarding security

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others.
  • Contribute to positive team environment.
  • Assist with the designs of security models, security configuration and installation of security devices (firewalls, VPN, routers, intrusion detection and prevention systems).
  • Participates with security awareness programs, educate and communicate to the organization about security policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Participates in security audits and assessments required by HIPAA and PCI. 
  • Attends Information Security and Confidentiality Committee (ISCC) meetings.
  • Participates in the development of hardware/software/network security procedures and guidelines that support IS security policies. 
  • Monitors industry security updates, technologies and best practices to improve security management.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of networks and understands network traffic flows.
  • Ability to give formal presentations at all levels.

EDUCATION:

  • Currently enrolled in AS, BS, or Master’s program at a university/college, or a recent graduate within the last year.”.
