Provide general library support.
Responsibilities
Computer data entry. Processing library materials in a variety of formats. Typing, labeling, item barcoding, stamping, scanning, and photocopying. Reviewing/editing records in library’s catalog. Special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
Basic computer skills and familiar with using Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, etc. Some cataloging experience in a library setting, Familiar with using Integrated Library Systems (ILS) such as Sierra or Folio. Languages (other than English) experience welcomed (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian).
Special Instructions to Applicants
Up to 8 hours offered each week for work-study student. Preferred scheduling as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday for two hours/day. Or, Monday, Thursday for three hours/day. The time either late morning or afternoon, for example: 10 am -12 pm or 2 pm – 4 pm.
