Position Summary:

The Link Center serves as the central access point at the University of Wisconsin-Superior for career services, academic service-learning, internships, undergraduate research, voter engagement, strategic partnerships, employer relations, and regional outreach.

 

This position will work collaboratively with Link Center staff to provide program support and event coordination for camps, clinics, and Yellowjacket for a Day events. This position will also provide excellent customer service to visiting youth, staff, and families as well as fellow college students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

 

Number of open positions: 1

Rate of pay: $15.00/hour

 

Hours per week: 8-12 hours

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Program Support & Event Coordination

  • Organize and prepare for upcoming camps, clinic days, and Yellowjacket for a Day events
  • Develop and implement activity plans for youth camps and clinics
  • Provide group leadership and student perspective during regional high school visits
  • Represent UW-Superior and the Link Center at core events on and off campus

Office Leadership

  • Welcome and assist Link Center visitors as needed
  • Understand and utilize Link Center resources; navigate ongoing requests
  • Provide support to Link Center professional staff as needed 
  • Maintain confidential information and protected office operations
  • Assist in day-to-day office needs, including making photocopies, scanning documents, processing digital documents, and creating forms/letters
  • Ensure that the front office space is clean and organized for a welcoming environment
  • Other opportunities as provided

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at UW-Superior
  • Must be able to commit to at least 8 hours per week
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Publisher

  • Demonstrated leadership ability
