Brief Job Overview/Summary
The Marketing & Social Media Intern supports Kramer Hall’s mission to connect students, faculty, and the greater Hammonton community through thoughtful branding, digital storytelling, and outreach. This position offers hands-on experience in marketing strategy, content creation, event promotion, community engagement, and data-driven communication planning.
Interns collaborate closely with professional staff to develop creative campaigns, support academic and community programs, and strengthen Kramer Hall’s digital presence across platforms. Duties may be tailored to align with the intern’s academic interests and professional goals.
Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing & Social Media
• Create, schedule, and publish content for Kramer Hall’s Instagram, Facebook, and campus communication channels.
• Produce original graphics, videos, and photography for marketing campaigns (e.g., events, spotlights, workshops, community partnerships).
• Support development of ongoing content series (student stories, faculty highlights, event recaps, community collaborations).
• Monitor engagement metrics and provide monthly analytics summaries to inform strategy.
Marketing & Communications
• Assist in designing promotional materials for print and digital use (flyers, posters, digital screens, newsletters).
• Help develop consistent branding templates in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite and maintain organized content libraries.
• Draft copy for press releases, announcements, event descriptions, and campus-wide promotional efforts.
Event & Program Support
• Assist with marketing, planning, and on-site support for academic, student, and community programming.
• Capture event photos and short-form videos for use on social media and future promotional materials.
• Represent Kramer Hall at select off-campus or community events to promote programs and services.
Assessment & Reporting
• Distribute and collect participant assessments as needed; assist with basic data analysis to guide future programming.
• Support year-end or semester reports through visual summaries, narrative highlights, and metric tracking.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to capture a friendly, professional tone.
• Comfort with Canva, Adobe tools, or similar design platforms.
• Familiarity with social media strategy, analytics, and storytelling best practices.
• Interest in marketing, communications, digital media, community engagement, the arts, the nonprofit sector, and/or higher education.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Creativity, initiative, and curiosity are highly valued.
Required Qualifications:
• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Stockton University
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
• Ability to maintain excellent organizational skills and detailed organization
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
• Excellent professional demeanor, self-motivate and flexible
• Dependable, punctual and have good customer service skills
