The Team:

Our Digital Technology Services and Technology Strategy Governance team prioritizes clients and architecture by delivering secure, reliable solutions enterprise-wide. We strengthen cybersecurity, service resilience, productivity, innovation, and engagement. Partnering with stakeholders, we enable individuals to succeed through technology, aiming to power S&P Global's markets with scalable and seamless services.

The Information Protection team creates and manages security services to protect S&P Global colleagues and end user devices. We collaborate with a variety of Information Security groups to enforce corporate standards and deliver a smooth user experience.

Your internship with us (Email Security Services):

The Email Security Intern will support the Email Security Services team by assisting with the monitoring, analysis, and triage of email-based threats such as phishing, malware, and spam. In this role, the intern will help investigate reported emails, document findings, support security operations workflows, and contribute to process improvement and automation efforts where appropriate. This position provides hands-on exposure to enterprise email security tools, incident response practices, and real-world cybersecurity operations, while working closely with experienced security professionals in a collaborative team environment

The Impact:

The Email Security Intern is expected to positively impact the team by increasing operational capacity and responsiveness to email-based threats. By assisting with the review and investigation of reported emails, maintaining documentation, and supporting routine security tasks, the intern will help reduce analyst workload and improve turnaround times for threat triage. Over time, the intern may also contribute insights, metrics, or process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Email Security Services program.

What We're Looking For

We seek candidates with diverse backgrounds and ideas with a desire to learn and thrive. To be an ideal fit for the role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of our key industries

  • Basic knowledge of information security principles and practices

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.

  • Proficiency in coding skills such as .NET, Java and Python.

  • Proficiency in reporting platforms such as PowerBI.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation and creative problem-solving skills)

  • Basic understanding of End User Computing and Collaboration services, Windows, MAC, iOS and Android devices

  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment

  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies

  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
    Self-motivated.

  • Interest in Email Security project related work
