The Superintendent is responsible for leading field execution across multiple job sites by supervising foremen and installation teams, coordinating manpower plans, and driving safe, high-quality, on-time project completion. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Operations, and General Contractors to manage schedules, sequencing, productivity, and issue resolution in the field. While the Superintendent may provide limited hands-on assistance when required, the primary focus of the role is supervision, coordination, and field leadership.

Essential Functions
•    Oversee daily field operations across multiple job sites, ensuring crews are aligned to project scope, schedule, and installation requirements. 
•    Supervise multiple foremen and/or lead installers, including directing work assignments, monitoring progress, and ensuring consistent execution standards across projects.
•    Develop and manage manpower plans based on workload, project priorities, and schedule demands; coordinate staffing needs with Operations and Project Management.
•    Own field schedules, sequencing, and execution plans to ensure work is performed efficiently and in coordination with other trades and site constraints.
•    Attend and represent the company in job site coordination meetings (weekly and/or as required) with General Contractors and other stakeholders. 
•    Serve as the primary field point of contact between foremen/installers and Project Managers, ensuring clear communication of expectations, changes, constraints, and deadlines. 
•    Interface regularly with Project Managers, Operations leadership, and GC Superintendents to coordinate logistics, address barriers, and maintain schedule alignment.
•    Maintain daily oversight of productivity, quality, and job site readiness; address performance gaps and implement corrective actions as needed.
•    Ensure safety compliance across all assigned job sites, including conducting and documenting toolbox talks, reinforcing safe work practices, and supporting job site safety requirements. 
•    Organize and maintain required job site documentation including safety training records, drug screens, and other contract-driven requirements. 
•    Complete and submit required job site reporting (daily reports, progress updates, issues, delays, and field notes). 
•    Review drawings, sketches, work orders, and project specifications to plan work execution and ensure crews understand installation requirements. 
•    Identify damaged product or material issues in the field and coordinate timely resolution with the appropriate internal teams. 
•    Proactively identify field risks (safety, schedule, manpower, material readiness, access constraints) and escalate issues with recommended solutions.
•    Support quality control by verifying installation meets specifications, project standards, and customer requirements; coach teams on best practices and rework prevention.
•    Assist with installation work as needed to support business needs, urgent field conditions, or project deadlines (hands-on work is not the primary function of the role). 
•    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

Minimum Qualifications
•    High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or industry certifications preferred.
•    Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
•    Must be at least 21 years of age to operate company vehicles.
•    Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
•    Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred 
•    Minimum of 4 years of experience in the physical security, low-voltage, IT, networking, electronics, or related technical field preferred.
•    Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.
•    Familiarity with manufacturers such as Genetec, Open Options, ACRE, Software House, LenelS2, Avigilon, Milestone, Hanwha, Axis, Verkada, Bosch, DMP, Aiphone, 2N, OpenPath, or similar platforms is preferred.
•    Basic understanding of IP networking, VLANs, switches, TCP/IP communications, and PoE technologies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•    Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills
•    Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
•    Ability to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a job

Physical Demands
This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.

 

Work Environment
This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
