Overview
Assists with managing the day-to-day operations of WakeMed's Capacity and Transfer Management Center (CTMC), working collaboratively with the Manager to assist in supervision, coordination, education, and management of nursing personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient flow services. Maintains clinical competencies and serves as resource to staff of CTMC as well as serving as a resource and collaborative driver to physicians, nursing leadership teams, patient access team and other departments of WakeMed. Key responsibilities are also to ensure that services are being provided in a timely/quality manner and assist in resolving barriers to patient flow. This role acts as a liaison between manager and staff, focusing on patient flow, process improvement, and performance metrics. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, vision, values, and management of patient care services and assist to lead the department with the organizational values set as a priority.National Certification in Nursing Required
