This role is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant healthcare environment while supporting staff performance, operational excellence, and exceptional service for our patients and community.%3C/strong%3E%3C/i%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class=%22fai-CopilotMessage__actions rmlvq19 ___7qar2c0 fcthzvy%22 data-tabster=%22{%26quot;mover%26quot;:{%26quot;cyclic%26quot;:false,%26quot;direction%26quot;:2,%26quot;memorizeCurrent%26quot;:true}}%22 role=%22toolbar%22%3E%3Cstrong%3EResponsibilities:%3C/strong%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EDischarges in area of responsibility are completed within one hour from the time it is assigned.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAttend all mandatory departmental and hospital in-services.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDaily contact with head nurses and/or unit clerks to discuss opportunities.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EProvide all legitimate requests within facility are met immediately, giving the department a high reputation for service.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPresent department in a positive manner to patients, visitors and other hospital personnel.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ESubmit work orders for all applicable maintenance repairs in the area of responsibility.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECheck assigned areas regularly to ensure personnel are performing work and following their work schedule.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EReact appropriately to noted observations, and reinforce behavior through either praise or corrective action.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EEnsure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EStart the shift on time and arranges to have adequate coverage at all times by using personnel effectively.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPrepare administrative and employee documentation, monitor employee records and performance, meeting establish deadlines or respond in an efficient and timely manner.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMake recommendations for, and assist with, corrective action under guidance or Operations Manager.%26nbsp;%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EApprove PTO assigned staff within departmental guidelines.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECarry and answer 24 hours pager.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPerform assigned duties in case of internal and external disasters, and fires/drills.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3E%3Cp%3EAct as a liaison between all shifts with no noted communication problems.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EInspect 10% of all discharges when assigned to patient areas.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cu%3EThis position will manage union employees. Union experience is a plus.%3C/u%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EPreferred Experience:%3C/strong%3E Healthcare EVS experience.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3ESchedule: %3C/strong%3EVariable schedule- based on hospital and department.%3C/p%3E

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 3 years relevant experience required and 1 year relevant leadership experience required.
• Knowledge and familiarity with chemical use and dilution rates.
• Basic computer knowledge to include familiarity with MS Office.
