About this role

Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY ASSISTANT in the Force Protection of NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION.

Duties

  • You will be responsible for the planning, assigning and reviewing of current procedures to be used by subordinate personnel.
  • You will develop schedules for daily operations, planned special events/projects, and develops goals and objectives and continual training criteria for assigned personnel.
  • You will be responsible for liaison with various representatives of the government, civilian workforce and private contractors for the purpose of coordinating special access control requirements, and special projects as necessary.
  • You will enforce strict installation access control policies and when working with civilian and military personnel of all status and rank, must make sound decisions and use tact and diplomacy in resolving installation access issues.
  • You will prepare and maintain a variety of Visitor Control Center (VCC) security support documents and records, provides customer service support at the VCC.
  • You will provide supervisory controls over all security assistant personnel who provide VCC customer service and also have direct input into the development and delivery of VCC services at the installation where assigned.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience supervising personnel, including conducting job performance appraisals, managing tasks, and executing personnel actions. - Knowledge of military installation access control directives, standard operating procedures, and security administration concepts. - Must be able to review and verify access control documents and correspondence for grammatical accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance. - Must understand federal laws governing U.S. citizenship requirements and the administrative procedures of a Visitor Control Center (VCC). - Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, while exercising tact and diplomacy with diverse personnel.
