About this role
The Supplier Delivery Development (SDD) Specialist works proactively with suppliers to enhance material delivery performance by improving processes that enable suppliers to consistently meet delivery requirements. This role analyzes supplier capabilities and constraints, conducts supplier audits, resolves delivery issues, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supply chain performance.
Key responsibilities
- Mitigate supply chain risk by proactively engaging suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analyze delivery KPIs to identify negative performance trends and prioritize countermeasures.
- Investigate supplier delivery failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide supplier training and lead continuous improvement activities to improve delivery performance.
- Drive improvements to team productivity through standard work, problem solving, and collaboration.
- Support plant production schedules, including weekend and holiday overtime as needed; flexibility to work off shifts and/or split shifts may be required.
- Perform on site supplier audits focusing on strengthening delivery compliance processes
The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Capacity Planning, Production Planning, Logistics, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Materials Logistics Management, and Stellantis plants to coordinate activities, remove barriers, and ensure stable production.
Strong time management, critical thinking, and root-cause problem solving are essential. The SDD Specialist must simplify complex situations, escalate risks promptly, and act with urgency to prevent production disruptions. This role within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization is fast paced and requires end-to-end supply chain transparency, strong ownership of issues, and consistent follow-up.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production control (MLM) and/or supply chain management
- Ability to build relationships and drive results without direct authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to interact confidently with suppliers and communicate effectively with senior management and Stellantis NA plants on supply-related issues
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business related field
- Stellantis plant experience with working knowledge of Stellantis supply systems (PC Portal/ODIMS/CMIS/Change Management/CHAMPS/Assembly Receiving Regions)
- Experience in a Tier 1 Automotive environment
- Strong data management skills with large data sets (advanced user of MS Excel/PowerPoint and/or MS Access)
- Passion for customer service
